
Andrea Todaro
Lyric Soprano
With a voice described as "clear as a bell" and "shimmering," Soprano Andrea Todaro has performed lead, supporting and ensemble opera roles for over twenty years. She most recently made her international debut in Italy as "Nella" in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi with the International Young Artists Project (IYAP). Prior to this, she debuted with New York Lyric Opera as The Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel. Ms. Todaro is a graduate of State University of New York at Fredonia. Additional roles include: Princess Zara (Utopia Limited), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Lucy (Dracula), Susannah (The Marriage of Figaro), Edith (Pirates of Penzance), Amor (Orpheus and Eurydice), The Lay Sister/Novice (Suor Angelica), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), and ensemble (Amahl and the Night Visitors; La Boheme).
Ms. Todaro has performed lead and ensemble roles with Central Florida Lyric Opera, New York Lyric Opera, Rochester Opera, OperaLites, Nickel City Opera, Buffalo Opera Unlimited, IYAP, and The Kavinoky Theatre. She’s also a featured soloist for several musical organizations including The Chromatic Club of Buffalo, Opera Buffs, Friends of Vienna, The Buffalo Opera Foundation, and The Erwin Johnson Fund. In addition to performing in opera and musical theatre productions, one of Ms. Todaro’s favorite pastimes is singing Broadway, opera, and jazz selections for special events at local coffeehouses, art galleries, restaurants, weddings, birthday parties and memorial services throughout Western New York. She most recently served as "guest soprano" in A Tribute to Andrea Bocelli at Buffalo's historic Riviera Theatre with Franco Corso, an internationally-renowned tenor whose voice has been said to "melt hearts and instill passion."

Ms. Todaro has taken voice lessons for over fifteen years with coloratura soprano Adrienne Tworek-Gryta, who currently serves on the vocal performance faculty of Villa Maria College and more recently, with lyric spinto soprano Jacqueline Quirk, who is making her mark in the realms of operatic performance throughout the world as one of opera’s outstanding stars.

MONTE SAN SAVINO, ITALY
In July, 2016, Ms. Todaro toured and sang opera with the International Young Artists Program in mid-Tuscany, Italy. This is an excerpt from an art song concert in the small Italian town, Monte San Savino, nestled in the quiet Tuscan hills. She also performed as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in opera scenes at Theatro Verdi and in the chorus for the touring full-scale production, sang sacred solos in Milan, and performed Rosinni's Stabet Mater in gorgeous cathedrals in Cortona and Monte San Savino.
